I’m Bryce Salmi. I work with early-stage spacecraft programs on avionics architecture before the decisions that are expensive to reverse get made without enough scrutiny.

My hardware has flown on Falcon 9 thousands of times, Cargo Dragon, Crew Dragon, and Terran 1. Cubesat hardware I built has flown to orbit aboard an Atlas V, Falcon 9, Launcher 1, and PSLV.

In 2018 Relativity Space hired me as the 17th employee and first avionics engineer. Terran 1’s avionics was a blank Confluence page and a desire. Five years later it flew, eight avionics electrical engineers, start to finish. I’ve been hiring, managing, and coaching avionics teams since Relativity.

Since 2023 I’ve been at Millennium Space Systems leading satellite bus avionics development from concept through qualification. A design review initiative I created and led prevented roughly $2M in hardware scrap and years of schedule delay. I originated a next-generation avionics bus architecture the organization has adopted.

I’m also an FAA instrument-rated pilot, flying Cirrus SR20 and Cessna 172 out of Santa Monica Airport.
